About

Quick overview:

I am travel photographer, videographer and drone pilot (FPV included). In addition to that I shoot events such as cosplay festivals. Started with Sony interchangeable system, but right now I am using Fujifilm x100VI.

My History:

I started my journey in 2023 and since then I changed a lot of cameras, lenses, bags, backpacks… But first things first. In 2022 I accidentally found Panasonic HC-V770 (camcorder from 2015), who knew that this seven year old camcorder would change my life completely. First I just went around and filmed anything that looked interesting. As I remember I just turned on it and hit the record button without thinking: what is my exposure triangle? what is my frame rate? and so on. After a year I thought “Why my footage looks so poorly compared to others?” my answer to myself was “My camera is bad.”

That was a reason why I bought Dji Action 2. The reasons were: first I wanted to film ONE shot in a small space and second is that one person from Youtube said it was a best small camera ever (which it isn’t). With it I bought a cage, ND filters and Smallrig Magic arm, for the reason that the same person said that this is “must have items”. This purchase was one of my mistakes, because image quality from Action 2 is very poor compared to some other cameras.

I would probably still shoot video in auto mode, if not the second thing which changed my life completely. I saw same super great photos online and I thought “I want to try too”. Like this start my month research. I looked at all photo cameras out there Nikon, Canon… but only in the end I chose Sony a7iii. Mostly for four reason:

  • Two SD card slots. This helped me not to forget SD cards when they were needed.
  • Full-frame. I heard that “bigger sensor – better quality”.
  • Fast Sony autofocus.
  • Reasonable price. When I bought mine it was 1500 USD compared to some Sony FX-30 (price: 3000 USD) it was cheep.

But then I forgot about lens. That was very sad because I got it without even stock lens. Then after a week I found Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III VXD G2. It was the best value for my money (900 USD).

And then I start shooting loots-loots of photos.

I changed several lenses and cameras:

Sigma 70-200 F2.8 DG DN OS

Sony 24mm F2.8 G

Sony FE PZ 28-135mm F4 G OSS

Olympus TG-6

OM-System TG-7

This is when I found out what is ISO, sutterspeed, aperture…

The last camera and lens I got are Fujifilm x100VI and Fujinon TCL. Fujifilm is the best camera I ever used.

I won’t do here a big review, but if you are interested then you can read this.

Fujifilm x100VI is a 35mm fixed lens camera. It has:

  • IBIS (In Body Image Stabilization). I took one second shutterspeed shots HANDHELD and it is cristal clear.
  • Compact size
  • And so much more. (Wait for my full review).

This is my the only camera and it is great for everything: EDC (Every Day Carry), events, travel, videos…
